Buddy up to maximize your AbsoluteFIT time!
I tend to go about my fitness routine alone, but one of the great things about AbsoluteFIT is that often we do things in pairs — and it is a double shot of motivation, support and camaraderie every time.
The cover pic is funny; our outfits just randomly matched up that day, so Marie paired us accordingly. But Jackie often deliberately puts people in teams based on their fitness levels and/or familiarity with the moves, and in many sessions, pairs or trios are the best way to get everyone equal time on each piece of equipment.
That’s how I discovered that doing a circuit workout — in which you move from station to station, usually on a timer — is somehow both easier and harder than when you’re solo. Easier because you can help each other remember where you’re supposed to go next, and encourage each other in THE LONGEST MINUTE EVER (aka planks, or burpees … ), and harder because usually partners tend to push each other — not in a competitive way, but in very much a “One more rep! We got this!” kind of way.
And today it was the rare two-person Bootcamp session — just me and one other woman, and it was such an awesome workout (thanks, Marie!), the kind where we both left it all on the studio floor.
You can bring a buddy, or you can find one there — but either way, AbsoluteFIT will bring out the best in both of you!
