Looks Easy / Is Difficult; Is Easy / Looks Difficult

Looks can be deceiving …

Fitness journeys are full of surprises, never more so than in AbsoluteFIT.

You ever see a workout move and think, “Yeah, that looks easy enough, I could do that!” And then you try it and you’re like: “ … nope.”

Or the opposite — something looks hard or even impossible to do, and then somebody (Jackie, Marie, Marcy, Ashley) makes — I mean, convinces — you to try it, and it actually works for you?

You’ll encounter both, from time to time, in the studio — the cover pic of this post was me doing a sidestep and squat with the heaviest bar they have (I think it’s the 36-pounder); I got quads for days, so that was easy for me. Below, however, you’ll see me doing what looks like a simple plank move (I think Marie called it “tap-over planks”).

You would not BELIEVE how hard that was for me! gaaaaaaaah! But there I am, workin on it …
