The past couple of weeks have been NUTS — lots of late nights (Pixies, Sloan shows), early mornings, long days among 30 four-year-olds (ohhhhh the agony of the pumpkin patch field trip!), a weekend away (featuring tequila shots and six-plus hours of playing bass in front. of. other. people. OMG!!), and a whole bunch of other stuff I mostly did to myself, culminating in a rockin’ Halloween night that went way too late and involved our family’s hosts pouring the bubbles very generously while all of our kids went ape with candy.
So on Tuesday morning, I drag my exhausted, slightly hung over body out of bed and do the usual school-day routine. On my way out the door, my husband says, “Aren’t you going to AVAC® for your workout today?”
And I just looked at him and said, “… are YOU gonna work out?”
“No way,” he laughed. “But you’re inSANE about that, so —”
And you know, he’s right — I have gone ahead with AbsoluteFIT in so many circumstances, under so many less-than-optimal conditions, it wasn’t a given that I’d skip a day even when I’ve had about seven hours of sleep (and a not-small amount of alcohol) in the last three days. But I needed rest, so I rested, and now I’m back in the studio.
Everything in moderation, except — apparently, because I am a maniac — AbsoluteFIT. Heh.

She plays bass, reads a lot, watches too much TV, and can be found in the AbsoluteFIT studio three to five times a week. Her life goals include having a body like Linda Hamilton’s in Terminator 2, and/or having Bill Murray randomly crash a party she is attending. If you need something from her, try bribing her with good coffee or cold beer; odds are, she wants one or the other of those right now.
