We’ve All Got Our Strengths … and Weaknesses.
The other day in Strength and Endurance, trainer Marie had us doing a move wherein we lay on the mats with our heels up on a stability ball, rose up into a bridge, and used our hamstrings and quads to move the ball toward us and away from us.
This move was pretty much in my wheelhouse — I’ve got decent core strength after all these AbsoluteFIT sessions, and my quads and hamstrings are by far the best-developed muscles in my body. One of my workout partners said, “You make this look easy!”
Well … yeah, THAT exercise — but did you see me try to do the pushups on the BOSU? Hoooo boy. Graceless sweaty struggling ensued, and I had to do them on my knees anyway — while on either side of me, people were cranking them out, no problem, at full extension.
What I’m saying is, everybody has their thing — no matter how fit you are overall, there will be some moves that are just plain difficult for you, and some that are relatively easy. Don’t ever be intimidated by what somebody else in the studio is doing, because we’re all here to improve.

Make it a GREAT Weekend!
Last night, as I was making my son his traditional grilled cheese on wheat, I realized that it had been quite some time since I’d made myself something ooey and gooey! But instead of succumbing to the basic grilled cheese (as yummy as it…) I decided to step things up and add some fruit to the mix. I googled Healthy Grilled Cheese Recipes and discovered this piece from Fitness.com. *By the way… the Grilled Cheese with Avocado and Heirloom Tomatoes is DELISH!!! Add a cup of high fiber soup, and you’ve got a well-balanced, tasty fall meal.
