Fire Up the Grill (or Smoker, Oven, etc…!)

What is Dad’s favorite food? Whether it’s steak, chicken, fish, ribs or even tofu, there’s surely a way to make it better on the grill, Don’t forget the sides, and of course the desserts! Prep these goodies ahead of time and you’ll have Sunday free to spend with Dad. And don’t forget to let him put up his feet while you pamper him with the clean up.

Hit the Trails

As residents of the California Bay Area, we are lucky to have access to some of the most beautiful recreational areas on the planet. Sharing a hike can do wonders in bringing families closer, as well as fostering a lifelong love of the outdoors. As Chris S. of the American Hiking Society states, “Dad was the one that got me into the outdoors at a very young age. And that was one of the reasons I was so excited to join scouts. Throughout the years in scouts he helped with leading our pack, being a scout leader, was on most of the trips with me and I will never forget our experiences together out hiking in the woods.”

Here’s a list of local San Jose/Bay Area trails worth checking out:

Quicksilver Mines Park
Belgatos Park
Los Gatos Creek Trail (Lexington Res. to Campbell)
Los Alamitos Creek Trail
Guadalupe River Trail
Villa Montalvo, Saratoga
Stevens Creek to Bay Trail
Santa Teresa Park
Rancho San Antonio

So what are you waiting for? Grab the DAD in your life this Sunday and have FUN together!
