Longhorn Stampede | Running With the Bulls – Lydia’s AbsoluteFIT Journey Continues…

via – Lydia M. | AbsoluteFIT Participant

I accepted an interesting offer not too long ago: Be part of the AVAC® team in the Leigh High School Longhorn Stampede. It’s a 5K run/walk — THIS SUNDAY, MAY 31! — that benefits not only the school’s own student clubs and programs, but also other schools in the community. AVAC® is the race’s presenting partner — a great example of how the Club gives back to its neighbors and friends.

After my broken-toe forced scratch in a 5K a couple of months ago, I’m ready for a do-over, so this is also a perfect opportunity for me. I have no idea how my speed will be, and honestly, I don’t care — I know I’ll have fun, see friends, and help raise money for a good local cause.

Running (a 5K) with the bulls — well, Longhorns — for a good cause, of course!

Why don’tcha come on out? Run it, walk it, run AND walk it — there’s still time to register, and like half the people you see at AVAC® (the funnest ones) will be there!
