This time of year, pretty much everyone in the AbsoluteFit studio has one or more kids who are on Spring Break — attendance at the gym gets spotty, people say stuff like “One of them was off last week, the other one is off this week,” and everybody else gets what they mean without them having to explain.
So this post is gonna be short — I have to squash whatever in the H is going on in that living room before it involves Neosporin and Band-Aids, frantic applications of Oxi-Clean to formerly decent-looking furniture, or forced separation in the form of time-outs in two different corners …
The thing is, I’ve been soloing for a few days while my husband has been out of state at a work event (yes, DURING our kids’ spring break) — and you know what’s keeping me on an even keel?
It’s my eensy little mini-break, 45 minutes to myself to recharge and feel strong and in control of things. I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: AbsoluteFit is the “me time” that makes for better “we time.” Remember: AVAC has excellent childcare — use it! — and git into the studio, y’all!
