Cycle/Run Class at AVAC…A Great Way to Explore Triathlon Training

 

 

New at AVAC…..Cycle/Run Combo Triathlon Training!

As part of the return of AVAC’s 19th Annual Supersprint Triathlon in February 2015, we’ve put together several triathlon training classes to help those new to the sport become familiar with its components.

One of these classes is Odessa O’Brien’s Monday evening Cycle/Run Combo class.

The class consists of a spectacular 45-minute cycle session, an efficient 20-minute transition run, and finishes with an abs/stretch segment.

Transition

The class is geared for all abilities. Not a runner? Don’t sweat it! Walk-run modifications and coaching will be provided to runners and walkers of all ability levels.

The class instructor, Odessa O’Brien is a long time instructor, trainer, coach, runner, cyclist, and triathlete. She has been teaching for 23 years and has trained and raced all distances in both running and triathlon from the 5k to the Ironman. She is an Ironman Arizona 2008 Finisher, with a time of 12:47, and as a multiple time Vineman 70.3 Finisher, and holds a PR of 5:31. She trains and races for Train To Endure (www.traintoendure.com).
