T2 Linda Hamilton is my Patronus; AbsoluteFIT will help me summon her
I want tighter abs — pre-kid abs, not this OK-but-sort-of-mushy thing I’ve got going on right now. I want tank-top arms (that can also swing my toddler overhead to touch the ceiling). I want a heart healthy enough to break the heart-attacks-in-their-early-60s pattern of the females in my family. I want to look like Wonder Woman to my six-year-old daughter — strong, fierce, powerful — so she knows what a fit lifestyle really is.
So for these and a bunch of other reasons, I’m doing it: I’m committing to AVAC’s AbsoluteFIT.
And I’m going to write about it all here — where you can keep me honest, track my results, cheer me on, ask me anything; I’ll talk about everything from how to schedule classes online, to new moves I’m learning and what gear I’m wearing, to how on earth I’ll manage get myself out of a warm bed (with a sleeping husband still in it) at the crack of dawn on those over scheduled days when I have to work out early or not at all.
I’m thrilled to be one of the first to experience a whole new slate of workout types in AbsoluteFIT (starting Thursday, 9/4). My first session — doubling as an assessment of where I am, fitness-wise, right now — was on Tuesday, September 2, and I will be sharing my actual numbers (from body fat percentage to number of burpees I can do).
